My journey to becoming a fractional CMO is unconventional. I started as an automotive engineer, working for Delphi and Ford Motor Company in the UK after earning my BEng in Automotive Engineering from the University of Sunderland.
But I always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Since high school, I sold everything from phones to cars online. In 2015, I invested $5,000 in an Amazon FBA course and launched my first e-commerce business—a redesigned posture corrector. While that venture didn't succeed, it taught me invaluable lessons about online marketing, customer acquisition, and the power of data-driven strategies.
Friends who saw my marketing skills asked me to help with their businesses. That's how OneStep Social Ads was born in early 2019. I started with chatbot marketing and lead generation, but quickly realized my true passion was e-commerce growth.
In late 2019, I landed my first major client: a premium pearl jewelry e-commerce brand, one of the biggest online pearl sellers in the US. We launched a chatbot campaign just before Christmas that was so successful, ManyChat wrote a case study about it. That campaign was just the beginning.
I gradually took over their entire paid social media, email, and SMS marketing. The results speak for themselves: from $362K in 2019 to $2.8M in 2020 (8.17 ROAS), $3.7M in 2021, $3.55M in 2022, peaking at $8.33M in 2023 (5.78 ROAS), and $4.55M in 2024. As of November 2025, we've generated $3.78M with a 5.61 ROAS. That's over 6 years of consistent, sustainable growth.
